Trip Description
After a day's sightseeing amongst the temples and waterways of Bangkok, we travel by sleeper train to Chiang Mai, the gateway to Thailand's northern hillcountry. In our three days here, we will explore local markets, hike to jungle villages, ride on elephant-back and meet the area's colourful hilltribes. Transferring to the remote and beautiful district of Nan, we will trek on forest trails and make an easy descent of the Nan River by kayak. We will also spend two nights in a village house as guests of the people of Had Pah Khon. Three nights at a beach bungalow on the tropical island of Koh Samet provides a suitably relaxing conclusion to this South East Asian family adventure.

10 nights hotels and lodges, 1 night sleeper train, 2 nights village house, 2 days EASY trekking, 11 days touring, sightseeing and beach relaxation, max. altitude – 1500m / 5000ft. Some meals not included.
